I am able to use a computer with the free adobe acrobat program to fill out the PDF form you can download from the IDES website: http://www.ides.state.il.us/pdf/ui/EB_worksearch.pdf
Fill it out with 5 employer contacts per week and at least three resume submissions then sign the form and submit.
Most of my 5 contacts are resume submissions as actual contact with employers is scarce.
I`ve been told each new job post can receive several hundred resumes.
The biggest problem I have is faxing the form in.
There is only one fax number for either all of Chicago or the entire state of Illinois so I can spend a full day trying to fax it in.
Most of the time I`m forced to buy a stamp and mail it in.
I was told there is a downstate vendor getting paid to collect and store these forms.
If that is the case where is the State`s tax-payer money going if this vendor has only one fax line for all Extended Benefit users?
