If u have apple care it should cover a cracked screen. Also, if you bought your iPhone with a gold or platinum credit card you should have automatic warranty for 90 days or so after the purchase date.

the other day i was playing basketball and my iphone flew out of my pocket and a crack appeared in the top right-hand corner, made all the more depressing by the the fact i hate sports! :p! it's nothing major, and not even on the screen, but enough to bug me :p! i feel absolutely awful, i'm so clumsy but and i've dropped it a hundred times onto asphalt before, i guess i was just a bit unlucky!! :p i would absolutely love to get it fixed, (and definitely a hard-shell case) but i realise that as it's accidental damage it's not covered by insurance/warranty etc, and as a student i don't have a lot of money to spend on this, but i was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere in the uk i could get it fixed?? i live in cumbria, so not really within distance of an apple store, but i'm visiting london and manchester in a few weeks' time, so suggestions within those districts would be amazing. thank-you guys so much in advance!! :d!!

the only way to fix the screen and not void your warranty is to send it in to apple.

hello i am from cardiff, 14 years old. here is my problem: my freind dropped my iphone 3g and there was a crack on the screen, now (after a week) it has spread up to the speaker (where you hear people when you are on a phone call) and that has stopped working but that is the only problem. so is this covered by the warranty (i have no insurance) or am i going to have to pay for it? please i need an answer asap thanks freind cannot pay anything

In the US, the warranty does not cover physical damage and no insurance is available. You need to contact Apple in Wales and see whether the same rules apply.
