Remember, twins means double the price. About the only thing you can save on is a twin stroller, everything else you`ll have to spend twice as much on, like food, clothing, milk, and so on. Just let it happen naturally without trying for twins. It almost seems cheap to try for twins, like you`re trying to get a better deal or something. Relax and just pray to god that your child is healthy.

Also, eat more yams and drink more dairy. Studies have shown that those two foods lead to a higher incidence of twins.

With my first baby, I was pregnant with twins. The egg split after the sac had formed so they were in the same sac, sharing one placenta. It was very high risk. I ended up losing one of the babies at 12 weeks. Thankfully, I went on to have a healthy baby girl (they were identical twins). Anytime you have a multiple pregnancy there are many risks and complications. You get lots of u/s. One or both babies could potentially die. Preeclampsia and high blood pressure is common as well as gestational diabetes. Momma to a 7 month old and 4 weeks pregnant with number 2

Genetics usually play a part. If one or both of you has a history of twins, there is a chance... as for making it happen intentionally, I think any suggestion would be an old wives tale. Fertility meds are the unnatural way to conceive twins which I'm guessing you know already. IVF can also result in twins but is also 'unnatural'.

Sure, you dont need 2 tubes. I know,i was a twin, an identical one to be exact. A twin occurs when one embryio splits into two, and as a result, 2 humans are born. This occurs while the embryio is already in your uterus, so the fallopian tubes are taken right out of the equation. Heh, if you need 2 tubes to make 2 kids, how would triplets be born?

You need to make an agreement with the doctor that if it does in fact become medically necessary, you will allow him to do a c-section but that you would like to try to go natural for as long as possible. i've read that once you hit 25 your chances of concieving twins go up. and i know fertility drugs can boost your chances of having multiples by only 3%. idk, i just have a gut feeling that when i get pregnant i'll get pregnant with fraternal twins even though they don't run in my family (to my knowledge).

would you get an abortion, keep them, give them away...if you were a teen who found out you were pregnant with twins or triplets? i had naturally conceived triplet girls when i was 18 and unmarried, at first i was going to get an abortion but i kept them and love the sweet beautiful girls who are teenagers now. i ended up marrying a doctor who treats them like they're his own.

You are an inpiration to many I'm sure! I fell pregnant at 17 and gave birth at 18 (single) to my now 2 & half year old son. At his birth I found out he was an identical twin. The other twin had passwed away at about 14weeks gestation. The whole time I was pregnant I never knew he was a twin. Regardless if I knew or not abortion would never have been an option. You learn to cope and frankly having multiples first would probably be easier in some ways because you don't know any different but then it is so hard too esspecially being a teen. I have since met a wonderful guy who also treats my son as if he is his biological father.

Well actually this has happened to me. Idk if you'd consider it a miracle but i do. I had a miscarriage back in april of 09 and finally got pregnant again in september of 09 and found out that we're expecting twins. I was not using fertility drugs or anything of that nature. I'm now 30 weeks pregnant with twin girls (: best of luck!

I have known two women who had twins through natural vaginal birth wtihout pain meds! It can be done! You'll need to know for sure that neither baby is breech, though, because if one twin is breech that one usually has to be delivered via c-section. You'll need to ask your doctor about your specific chances, though.
