Q. How can i protect my ipod touch screen?
ok so i just got an ipod touch and i'm worried that it will get scratched so i got a rubber skin which works well butfor the screen i got a reg screen protector but when i put it on it has air bubbles & little threads stuck to it. is there a special way to prevent air bubbles? also whats this invisible shield? how much does it cost& does it have air bubbles? thanks

"But then i discovered the ipod touch clear shield cover..."

yeah i had the same problem when i firs tbought mine, but then i discovered the ipod touch clear shield cover. Its pretty cheap, at about 25 dollars. ( see the attached website, target.com. they sell for 24.99) It doesnt have air bubbles at all and protects your itouch without hiding its good looks or adding a lot of bulk to it. This is the best case of all the ones ive tried. I tried the silicon case and the aluminum case. The silicon case was too flimsy and the clasp on the aluminum case was not secure enough. the crystal clear case looks great and is very secure/sturdy. Oh, and another positive, it allows your itouch to dock with adapters on iPod clock radios or speaker/stereo systems!!! hope this helps Nicole =]

Q. Which screen protector for the ipod touch 2g is the best?
i've tried both the crystal and anti-glare films from power support and they attracted dust and lint like crazy. i could not for the life of me get them cleaned to perfection. i am pretty upset about it seeing how they cost me $15. i read mostly positive reviews on that particular brand before purchasing them so i am a really disappointed that a supposedly high quality product gave me nothing but trouble.

"They offer clear protection from both sides of the ipod touch 2g..."

I know one Invisible-Shield, in my opinion it is the best one ever! They offer clear protection from both sides of the iPod Touch 2G! Head on over to ZAGG.com they all information about the Invisible-Shield. You could also go to Target, or BestBuy to buy the Invisible-Shield. They have LifeTime Warranty

Q. How much does these cost in singapore in sim lim square?
a sony cybershot t-300 leather casing a 3 to 6gb memory stick. a screen protector for the touch screen how much does these amount to??

The costs in Sim Lim are not fixed. You might be able to get good deals if you haggle well enough. But if you're a foreigner it's pretty difficult. Check out the market prices before heading to Sim Lim to get a rough view of the prices you should be paying =)

Q. My ipod touch screen cracked!?
so it was in my pocket and i took t out after school to listen to it. i quickly flipped out when i saw the huge crack right in the enter of the ipod. it still works perfectly but the crack is annoying. i called apple and i told them my story, how i had a case on it and a screen protector and it still broke...they go on saying how they dont fix accidental amage or physical damage or hard drive damage...i am like"then what do you cover" if you give a warranty you should cover something"!. so they said no. im not paying 130 to fix it im sorry. what i was thinking of doiung was to threaten to sue them (even though i will for sure lose). and after i file the case they will automaticly fix it or give me a new 1 for free because it would cost them less money than to hire a lawyer and a representative from apple to showup. what do you think of that idea, any other suggestions?

I never buy the Apple warranty. It's cheaper take the risk and get it done yourself. Case in point, if you go outside Apple, and to and after market repair facility, you should be able to get your iPod fixed for about $90. If you are able and confident enough to do it yourself (some generations are more difficult to open than others) , you can get the parts for about $50.00. With Apple, you never know if you will get your original iPods back-they go t China and put in a pile with all the others. Apple only promises you will get a reconditioned iPod. With the after market companies, they are actually better than Apple, will not strip your songs out like Apple-plus you will get your original iPod back. I have fixed my friends iPods many times-all different types. If I were you, I would see if your could get your warranty pro-rated if you cancel it. Then you can use that extra money towards fixing your iTouch. Do not worry, if this is the worst thing that has happened to you during your life, consider yourself lucky. Love life-you had an accident-that's why they call them accidents. :-)

Q. Hp pavillion tx1308nr tablet laptop screen protector: yes or no?
i have very recently bought myself a brand new hp pavillion tx1308nr tablet laptop. my worry is that because the screen is set up not to need a special stylus (ie. it can be operated with fingertips, plastic pointers etc) you have to press down quite hard for a touch to register. especially when writing, i feel that extended use would almost certainly damage the screen (me being used to the light touches of pdas), but i have heard that some tablet screen protectors can cost an awful lot of money. what i am wondering is if hp have built the screen to be extra durable when using a stylus, or whether i would need to buy myself a screen shield. i have a feeling that it would increase the thickness of the already tough screen surface and probably reduce the visibility quality further, as the screen is slightly "grainy" because of the touch-sensitive layer. any help is much appreciated. thanks a lot! :)

"Calibrate the touch screen and set up screen preferences for pressure (clicks and flicks..."

The first thing I'd do is calibrate the touch screen and set up screen preferences for pressure (clicks and flicks ) This alone might solve your concerns about having to press down too hard: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00678213&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3548575&lang=en >calibrate The HP help site does indicate that you can use the stylus, your fingernail, or other pointed objects to perform click or flick actions. So I would imagine that the screen is durable enough for "normal" use. I would define normal as not using a railroad spike as your stylus :-) I also suggest you might want to contact the tech folks at HP for their input. If you're anticipating a specific situation that might require a screen protector I'm sure they would be able to make a recommendation. Q. What should i know for when i buy an ipod touch?
how much do apps cost? are most / many apps free? is it easy to put songs on it? does it break easily? do i need a screen protector? anything else that came to your mind when you bought one? thank you!

"Buy a screen protector and a case for it asap..."

The first thing you need to do is download and install iTunes. FYI: creating an account requires a verified billing method even if you don't buy anything from the iTunes Store. Browse the app store and see which apps interest you. Read user reviews there. Keep in mind that many free apps are lite versions and they lack features of their paid versions. Sometimes it's well worth a dollar or two to buy the full version, The device requires wi-fi to take advantage of most of its capabilities. If you don't have a wireless network at home, you can connect at public hot-spots though that would get to be a drag. Some are free, some aren't. The other thing you need to do is download and read the user guide. Printing it and keeping it handy will make your experience a whole lot more enjoyable. Buy a screen protector and a case for it ASAP. Do not take it to school. Everyday, they're confiscated, stolen, broken, locked accidentally, dropped in toilets, ruined by gatorade and perfume in backpacks and purses, sat on in pockets, eaten by dogs and heaven only knows what else. You also need to have an effective backup plan in place. Music and video files are not magical like so many users seem to think. They're files like any other. If you don't want to lose them, they belong on your computer AND backed up elsewhere.
