You can take it to an apple store, and they will fix it within a hour or so. But they will charge the most. The cheapest options are third party servicers, like some of the ones that advertise on this site. I charge $50 to replace the screen. if it is just the glass broken, if the LCD is broken I charge $80 (the parts cost more for the LCD)
Apple charges $200 for either.
If you want to try to do it yourself, you can purchase the parts online, they ship to you in a few days. Though I don't recommend it if you have never done it before.

its not too bad, most of the damage is on the top right of the screen
it has fallen many times before but this time it finally cracked
i never got a case because they are like 30-50 bucks which is ridiculous!!

Apple charges about $200. If you can find someone locally the charge is typically about half of Apple's charge. There are also DIY kits sold on the internet.

Cancel iphone 3g contract & buy iphone 3gs...cost? so i'm 17 and just came into $5,000. about a week ago i was at the beach and dropped my iphone 3g and the screen cracked bad, it still works, but i want it fixed. from what i've figured it'll be around $400 to cancel my 3g contract and buy the 3gs. is this right? i'm also planning on getting an otterbox case.
Not sure about the contract, just wanted to say I got an otterbox for my Blackberry Curve 8900, & it's great!!! Extremely durable, best cellphone case ever!!!

What would the cost of a new iphone 3gs glass cost? okay so i pulled my iphone out of my bag and the screen was white. and i herd it was common. i pushed buttons, turned it off, and sooooo onnn. well the only thing my screen does is turn black and white. the voice command works though. and i can call people. i think that the phones cord connecting the screen to the phone(i hope u know what i mean) is like broken or something. i searched that online, and it seems like thats about right. but then...later on, i looked at my phone and a thin gray line (just 1) went right down the middle. and another thing(the whiteness is the big deal this isn't.) is that there is a tiny crack that is at the side of my phone, and it has been there before this white thing happened. but i wonder if i go and get this fixed under warranty that they will fix the crack and the white thing free. if not, how much will it probably be?

Warning: it is pritty easy to replace but you have to be seriously careful and good with electronics and things like this.

It may even be your screen is broke, so be sure to get the glass digitizer and lcd screen, itll cost more sadly =[
there are even people that can do this for you (search ebay for that too) which is alot safer.
