Parents are not allowed to view what your text messages say,
and they cannot view your pictures unless they have an order from a court.
The only way they will get a court order is if there is a criminal investigation going on.
This is because you dont have any privacy rights with your parents,
hey are allowed to see whatever you are doing,
but another child (your friend)
HAS privacy rights,
meaning your parents cant even go through a friend`s bookbag without permission.
Since the messages are shared between you and a friend,
they are protected by your friend`s privacy rights as you are sending and receiving messages from a child not guarded by your parent (not your parents child).
only a court order can get these messages.
verizon only has a limited ammount of space on its servers for storing messages (they get hundreds of millions of text messages stored every month).
So verizon will delete the text message archives every 2 months or so.
parents cant see without a court order from a criminal investigation
A court order still wouldnt matter if the texts were a couple of months old as verizon would have deleted them to save space anyways.
So you are good!
