From what I understand, if your benefits do not expire on 11/31/10, unfortunately you do not continue to collect, even if it`s 26 weeks. If your in tier 1, 2, etc, under 99 weeks and your benefits expire on 11/30/10, I believe, not certain, you will continue to collect benefits. From what I understand, most states automatically enroll you, you continue calling in or via internet and hopefully you will continue to collect without interruption. This whole situation is gutrenching.

Please remember that unemployment is in no way "free money". The people PAY for this when they do work, which, by the way, is a prerequisite to receive benefits.

Yes, the stock market is on the verge of collapse again. The federal reserve has stopped buying and pushing up the futures and there are no other buyers left to keep it at such an elevated level. You saw what happen on May 6. That was no fat finger trade. That was real selling by smart money who knows what kind of trouble we are in. Get your money out of the stock market, out of the banks and put it under your mattress, seriously!

The Republicans just don`t connect with the poor or lower middle class at all. If.. the Government implemented short term vocational training to help those unemployed to be able to obtain a marketable and profitable income to be able to pay their rent and bills etc. we would not be in this mess. Unemployment`s rules are.. you have to be available for work M-F. Well.. if you or I were in a short term training the job search rule weekly should be waived and not applied. They make it most difficult on us to take any training . They told me it has to be at night. Most are in the days. They seem to want to keep us down financially. Whom can afford to live on part time work and how can we.. especially the older groups.. work 2-3 jobs and do all that to make ends meet. The rich and greedy Republicans whom only can identify with the rich.. are only looking out for themselves. The President is not allowed to intervene in their law making decisions .. even in times of emergencies like these. That needs to change! The filibuster is what is standing in the way and Republicans are using the poor and unemployed as pawns in their sick..sick.. greedy game.

With this government, the chances are good that they will do whatever they can to spend their way of out this recession. If that means more free money to the unemployed, then the probability of passing yet another extension is good. But, congress may want to stick it to Obama and finally let the American economy fall to the levels it naturally would be, if not for all of the stimulus money.

I truely hope that Unemloyment get`s extended past november, because it`s still very hard to get a job in Florida .The unemployment rate is still high and we need the unemployment just to pay for morgage, utilities, and gas to even look for work
